We're supporting a leading European media and advertising business in the search for a Senior Business Partner / Analyst to join their Commercial Finance team on a 9 month maternity cover basis. This team plays a key role in shaping strategic investment decisions, ensuring capital is allocated effectively across the business. Working closely with senior stakeholders, the role provides high-quality financial insight to support commercial performance and long-term growth. The timing is particularly exciting, as the business is undergoing a major finance systems transformation, with exposure to the transition from a legacy consolidation tool to SAP Analytics Cloud.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead financial evaluation of capital expenditure requests, including ROI, payback and strategic alignment
- Manage and track capital budgets across business units, reporting on performance and variances
- Deliver commercial and market analysis using internal and external data to inform decision-making
- Support core FP&A activities including budgeting, forecasting, long-range planning and variance analysis
- Assist with finance systems transformation activities, including data validation, testing and process support
- Act as a trusted finance partner to senior stakeholders across multiple European markets
- Produce clear, concise reporting for senior leadership
- Contribute to ad-hoc projects and wider strategic initiatives as required
About You
- Strong academic background with a degree (2:1 or above)
- Fully qualified accountant (ACA or equivalent)
- Proven experience in Commercial Finance, ideally with investment appraisal and capex exposure
- Advanced financial modelling and analytical skills
- Strong Excel capability and confident in producing senior-level presentations
- Experience with finance systems; exposure to SAP Analytics Cloud or similar is advantageous
- Confident communicator with the ability to influence and challenge stakeholders constructively
- Highly organised, proactive and comfortable managing multiple priorities
- Interest in media, advertising or fast-moving commercial environments
Stakeholder Exposure
You’ll work closely with senior finance leadership, FP&A teams, local finance heads and cross-functional partners across the business.
