Accounts Payable & Receivable Manager up to £60,000 • Hybrid (3 days in) • London • Max 1 month notice

Responsibilities

  • Oversee day-to-day finance operations including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger activities.
  • Manage debt collection processes, including monitoring aged receivables, improving cash collection performance, and reducing overdue balances.
  • Ensure supplier payments are processed in line with internal controls, approval workflows, and fraud prevention procedures.
  • Supervise AP/AR activities across multiple business entities, ensuring compliance with internal finance policies and procedures.
  • Act as a key contact for suppliers and customers, managing queries and providing a reliable escalation point where required.
  • Lead month-end and year-end close processes to ensure timely and accurate reporting.
  • Provide regular reporting and updates to support cash flow forecasting and treasury management activities.
  • Support internal and external audit requests and ensure all required documentation is maintained.
  • Manage banking, treasury, and corporate card-related processes and queries.
  • Identify opportunities to improve financial controls, operational efficiency, and finance processes.
  • Assist with additional finance and operational tasks as required.

Candidate Specification

  • Strong team player with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Demonstrated people management and stakeholder management experience.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Previous experience in an Accounts Payable/Receivable Manager or Finance Operations leadership role.
  • Strong analytical and reporting capabilities with attention to detail.
  • Experience using ERP/accounting systems; exposure to cloud-based finance platforms beneficial.
  • Experience working within a high-volume transactional finance environment.
  • Treasury and process improvement experience preferred.
  • Comfortable working across multi-entity or international business operations.
  • Proven ability to improve financial controls, streamline processes, and drive operational efficiencies.
  • Industry experience within a fast-paced commercial environment is advantageous but not essential.
  • NetSuite experience is preferable.
