They\’re seeking a highly skilled and motivated Commercial Finance Manager to help drive financial strategy and commercial success across their portfolio of restaurants.
Role Overview:
As the Commercial Finance Manager, you will be an integral part of our finance team, providing strategic financial support and business insight to our operations and senior leadership team. You will work closely with key stakeholders across various departments to ensure financial objectives are met and that the business is operating efficiently and profitably.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting processes across the restaurant group.
- Provide detailed financial analysis and performance reporting for senior management.
- Partner with operational teams to support decision-making, pricing strategies, and cost management.
- Drive commercial insight by identifying trends, risks, and opportunities in financial data.
- Support new restaurant openings and acquisitions with financial modelling and due diligence.
- Evaluate key business metrics such as sales performance, food costs, and labour costs to ensure profitability.
- Work with the Head of Finance and CFO to shape financial strategy and long-term goals.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders to ensure alignment on financial goals.
- Lead a small team of junior finance professionals, providing coaching and development opportunities.
- Ensure compliance with financial regulations and company policies.
Key Requirements:
- ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified
- Proven experience in commercial finance, ideally within a multi-site industry.
- Strong financial modelling, analysis, and forecasting skills.
- Experience in working with operational teams to deliver financial targets.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- A proactive approach to problem-solving with the ability to think strategically.
- Strong Excel skills; proficiency in financial software (experience with systems like SAP, Navision, or similar is a plus).
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
