We are seeking a Field Service Engineer to join our Commercial Service team. This is a remote/home-based position; however, the primary focus of the role is to install, commission, maintain, and repair medical equipment at customer sites across Sheffield, Derby, Nottingham, Calderdale, York, Leeds, Scarborough, Northern England, and parts of the Midlands. Applicants must reside within one of these territories to effectively support our customers.

In this role, you will be responsible for the installation, commissioning, preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of medical devices at customer sites. You will provide high-quality technical support, maintain accurate service records, and build strong customer relationships while ensuring compliance with quality, safety, and company standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Install, commission, service, and repair medical devices at customer sites.
  • Perform scheduled preventive maintenance to maximize equipment reliability.
  • Diagnose and resolve equipment faults efficiently.
  • Respond promptly to customer service requests via phone, email, and on-site visits.
  • Maintain accurate service reports, maintenance logs, and technical documentation.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to coordinate service activities and resolve technical issues.
  • Build strong customer relationships and deliver exceptional customer service.
  • Ensure compliance with quality, safety, and confidentiality requirements.

Qualifications & Experience

  • This is a remote/home-based role, with the majority of your time spent installing and servicing medical equipment at customer sites across Sheffield, Derby, Nottingham, Calderdale, York, Leeds, Scarborough, Northern England, and parts of the Midlands. Applicants must be based within one of these territories.
  • Minimum of 3 years' field service experience, preferably within the medical device, healthcare, or medical equipment industry.
  • Bachelor's degree, HNC, or equivalent technical qualification/experience.
  • Strong electro-mechanical troubleshooting skills.
  • Excellent communication, analytical, and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Ability to work independently, travel extensively within the assigned territory, and provide support outside normal business hours when required.
