Reports to: Head of Design / Buyer

Role Overview

Supports the Menswear Design teams in producing technical drawings and excel workbooks for styles, through teamwork with the Mens Designers and Garment Techs.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Produce Mens technical workbooks for sending to the factories, including:
    • Fully annotated technical drawings
    • Diagrams of construction & techniques
    • Print scaling and placements
    • Meticulous in completing fabric and trim information
    • Proto specs & Measuring Guides
  • Amending styles and updating workbooks as required after fittings
  • Working closely with Designers to develop the designs
  • Working closely with the Garment Tech team to problem solve finishings for styles demonstrating a depth of knowledge of construction for different types of styles in line with the Jaded identity and factory ability
  • Ad hoc flexible support for the design teams to help find solutions for final designs
  • Contribute to keeping the Tech Design Ai libraries and Trim Worksheets up to date
  • Being responsive and positive to feedback, proactive in creating strong cross divisional relationships and striving for seeking efficient solutions

Requirements

  • 4 or more years of Menswear Apparel Design experience
  • Experience working with overseas suppliers or factories
  • Proficient in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop & Excel and Microsoft office
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of garment construction
  • Ability to prioritise, managing multiple deadlines and heavy workloads to strict deadlines
  • Confidence and ability to work at pace and independently
  • A problem solver, identifying issues immediately
  • Trend-focused with an eye for detail
  • Capable of working autonomously and making strong creative decisions
  • Flexible working approach, diligent and able to adapt to the needs of the team
  • Great understanding of the Jaded London brand and customer
  • Strong Team player and passionate for the brand and its success
