We are currently partnering with a global manufacturer to recruit an experienced Customer Care Specialist for a 12-month fixed-term contract based in Dorking. This is an excellent opportunity to join a highly regarded organisation at the forefront of robotic compound management and biological sample storage solutions. You’ll play a key role in delivering exceptional customer service within a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
The Role
As a Customer Care Specialist, you will act as a central point of contact for customers, managing orders and resolving queries while working closely with internal teams to ensure smooth order fulfilment. Key responsibilities include:
- Processing and managing customer orders across consumables, hardware, and project-based requirements
- Handling customer queries via phone and email, including order status, pricing, stock availability, and returns
- Monitoring open and held orders, proactively resolving issues and ensuring timely delivery
- Investigating and supporting resolution of production, shipping, and invoicing queries
- Managing customer accounts with staged releases, blanket POs, and held orders
- Ensuring all processes comply with internal procedures and regulatory standards
- Building strong relationships across departments to support the full order lifecycle (Inquiry to Order and Order to Remittance)
- Following up on order discrepancies and escalating where necessary
About You
We’re looking for a proactive and detail-oriented individual who thrives in a busy environment and is passionate about delivering a high standard of customer service. You will have:
- Previous experience in a customer service role within manufacturing, life sciences, or a similarly complex environment
- Strong communication skills with a professional and customer-focused approach
- Experience working with ERP systems (Oracle preferred) and ideally Salesforce
- Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities
- A collaborative mindset with strong problem-solving abilities
- Confidence working independently in a high-volume setting
