Location: Near Dorking (Must drive)

Shifts: 10am - 7pm (with 1-hour unpaid lunch) OR 12:30 – 7pm (with 20 mins unpaid lunch). Other hours are available for the right candidate.

Part time, Permanent Contracts: 11-16 hours per week, (depending on shift pattern). Term Time plus summer school (40 weeks per year).

Salary: £13.25 per hour / Annual £6,650 – 9,670 (depending on shift pattern)

Our client is a high-end private boarding school situated near Dorking in the Surrey Hills countryside. They are looking for a weekend Catering Assistant to join their catering team producing and serving freshly prepared meals for 300 boarders using top quality locally sourced products. They have a modern well-equipped kitchen and even have a full-size outside wood burning pizza oven. The position will assist with managing the stores as well as washing up and cleaning. As a catering assistant, you will be working in a friendly and busy position.

About You

The ideal candidate will have previous experience working in a busy catering environment and be able to work as part of a team. You will be rewarded with a competitive salary. Meals on duty and uniforms are provided. Ideally, you will have a background in an independent school, restaurant or an up-market contract catering site and will be looking for an exciting new challenge in a friendly school environment. Due to the remote location and lack of public transport, your own transport is essential.
