Salary: up to £39,000

Hours: Full-time | 4 days on, 3 days off

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Banqueting Chef de Partie to join the kitchen team of a prestigious countryside hotel and events venue in Surrey.

This is an exciting opportunity for a talented Chef de Partie, or an experienced Demi Chef de Partie ready to progress, to join a busy operation delivering food for weddings, conferences, private celebrations and large-scale events.

The successful candidate will take ownership of their section and play an important role in ensuring consistently high-quality food is prepared and delivered across a varied events calendar.

The Role as CDP

As Banqueting Chef de Partie, your responsibilities will include:

• Preparing, cooking and presenting dishes to a consistently high standard.
• Taking responsibility for your section during busy banqueting and event services.
• Preparing and organising your section ahead of service to ensure timings are met.
• Working closely with the wider kitchen and events teams to deliver smooth and efficient functions.
• Supporting senior chefs with event menus and maintaining consistency across dishes.
• Managing multiple priorities while maintaining excellent standards of food quality and presentation.
• Supporting and mentoring junior members of the kitchen team.
• Maintaining high standards of food hygiene, cleanliness and food safety.
• Assisting with stock control, portion control and minimising food waste.
• Supporting other areas of the kitchen when required and working as part of a strong team.

About the CDP

We are looking for someone who has:

• Previous experience as a Chef de Partie, or a strong Demi Chef de Partie looking to progress.
• Experience within banqueting, hotels, events or high-volume catering.
• Good knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques and presentation.
• The ability to take ownership of a section and work confidently under pressure.
• Excellent attention to detail and pride in the food you produce.
• A good understanding of food hygiene, allergens and health & safety.
• A positive, hands-on approach and the ability to remain calm during busy services.
• A team-focused attitude with the ability to support more junior chefs.
• Flexibility to work evenings and weekends in line with the events calendar.
• A genuine passion for food and delivering an excellent guest experience.
