Are you a senior community Occupational Therapist with experience in complex physical or traumatic injuries, looking for a flexible, part-time role alongside your NHS or local authority work?

This role involves assessing individuals in their own homes and writing detailed care, equipment and housing reports which are used in personal injury and clinical negligence cases.

  • No prior medico-legal experience is required.
  • We provide fully funded training, 1:1 mentoring and ongoing support.

The Role

  • Carry out holistic in-person home assessments (1 in-person assessment every 4 – 6 weeks.)
  • Assess long-term care, equipment, housing and transport needs
  • Write clear, detailed and reasoned care reports for use in personal injury/clinical negligence claims
  • Manage your own working hours
  • Work as part of a highly experienced, supportive expert team

  • Minimum 6 years’ post-qualification experience as an Occupational Therapist
  • Recent experience with traumatic injuries (orthopaedic, amputations, polytrauma, spinal or brain injury)
  • Currently working in the community, recommending and reviewing long-term care packages
  • Ability to commit a minimum of 10 hours per week
