Jacobson Garner are partnering with a fast growing financial services firm to appoint a Senior Fraud Risk Leader into a newly created second line role. This is an opportunity to shape fraud governance and oversight within a business investing heavily in its Risk function.
The role involves providing independent oversight of fraud risk across the business while partnering with senior stakeholders to continually improve governance, controls and risk management. You will work across multiple business areas, helping ensure fraud risks are identified early, understood and managed effectively while supporting ongoing business growth.
Responsibilities:
- Provide independent second line oversight of fraud risk across the organisation.
- Develop and mature fraud governance and oversight arrangements.
- Challenge the effectiveness of existing fraud controls and recommend improvements.
- Partner with senior stakeholders to strengthen fraud risk management across new and existing products.
- Review emerging fraud risks and ensure appropriate mitigation strategies are in place.
- Produce clear reporting and insight for senior management and governance forums.
- Support regulatory, audit and assurance activity where required.
- Build strong relationships across Risk, Compliance, Product and Operations.
- Act as the senior point of contact for fraud risk matters.
About you:
You will be comfortable operating in a second line role, providing independent challenge, influencing senior stakeholders and helping strengthen governance and control frameworks. We are particularly interested in people who have experience of:
- Fraud Risk, Fraud Governance or Fraud Oversight.
- Second Line Risk, Enterprise Risk or Operational Risk with significant fraud exposure.
- Designing, embedding or enhancing risk and control frameworks.
- Working closely with Product, Operations, Compliance and Technology teams.
- Presenting risk issues and recommendations to senior management and governance committees.
- Operating within fast paced, growing businesses where priorities evolve quickly.
