This role suits a confident technician ready to step into a senior position — someone who can lead on technical delivery, support junior team members, and ensure every event runs flawlessly.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Deliver live, hybrid and streamed events using PTZ cameras, vMix and streaming platforms
  • Advise clients on technical solutions and operate equipment during events
  • Set up and reconfigure systems when equipment is moved between rooms
  • Ensure all event spaces are fully prepared and technically ready on time
  • Equipment & Facilities Management
    • Maintain AV equipment, facilities and stock to a high standard
    • Manage inventory including cables, accessories, spares and consumables
    • Coordinate repairs, servicing and temporary workarounds when required
    • Recommend technology upgrades to enhance the user experience
    • Carry out routine equipment checks and preventative maintenance
  • Leadership & Operations
    • Deputise for the AV Manager when required
    • Coordinate workloads across technicians and freelancers on site
    • Provide guidance and on-the-job training to junior team members
    • Ensure consistent, high-quality service delivery across all events
    • Maintain clear communication with venue stakeholders
  • Standards & Compliance
    • Follow company policies, health & safety regulations and venue procedures
    • Maintain accurate reporting, documentation and daily handovers
    • Ensure workspaces, control rooms and storage areas remain organised

    What We’re Looking For

    • Strong experience with vMix, streaming workflows and PTZ camera systems (BirdDog desirable)
    • Proven background delivering live and hybrid events
    • Confident troubleshooting AV systems in a live environment
    • Ability to lead projects and support other technicians
    • Organised, proactive and client-focused
