Are you an AV professional who enjoys the variety of live events, client interaction, and hands-on technical delivery? We're recruiting on behalf of a prestigious Central London organisation seeking an AV Technician to become the primary on-site AV specialist, supporting a diverse programme of conferences, presentations, lectures, meetings and high-profile events. This is a highly visible, customer-facing role where you'll take ownership of event technology across multiple event spaces, working closely with internal stakeholders and external clients to deliver exceptional experiences.

Salary: £37,000 + Direct Staff Benefits

The Role

  • Setting up, operating and supporting AV systems for a wide range of live events
  • Managing room configurations and technical requirements with clients and event organisers
  • Supporting presentations, conferences, hybrid meetings and special events
  • Maintaining AV equipment and ensuring systems remain operational and up to date
  • Providing first and second-line IT support where required
  • Assisting with basic network and systems administration tasks
  • Delivering user training and technical guidance to staff
  • Working with third-party suppliers and technology partners
  • Contributing to future AV and technology improvement projects

About You

We're looking for someone who can combine technical expertise with excellent customer service skills. You'll ideally have:

  • 2+ years' experience in an AV, Event Technology or IT Support role
  • Experience supporting live events and working directly with clients
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities
  • Knowledge of AV technologies, conferencing solutions and presentation systems
  • Understanding of networking fundamentals and TCP/IP
  • Experience supporting Windows environments
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
  • A proactive and professional approach
  • The flexibility to support occasional evening and weekend events (TOIL provided)

Desirable Experience

  • Dante audio networking
  • Crestron and/or Lutron control systems
  • Video conferencing technologies
  • IT infrastructure or systems administration experience
