Client Direct Project Manager
Location: London Area, United Kingdom – Salary: £30,000‑£35,000.
Our client has an immediate requirement for an experienced Client Direct Project Manager to play a pivotal role within the Projects Delivery Department. In this position, you will take full ownership of delivering end-to-end programmes, working closely with sales, operations, and engineering teams to manage project scope across a variety of client‑direct and construction projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform work on multiple projects within budgeted cost and to client satisfaction.
- Monitor progress and performance against the programme, identifying and resolving operational problems and minimizing delays.
- Ensure successful and profitable execution by following standards and supporting the implementation of processes and SOPs that drive consistency.
- Liaise with internal departments, clients, contractors and AV integrators.
- Ensure H&S files are in place and safe systems of work are implemented.
- Understand contractual requirements and local regulations in the regions.
- Ensure technical and drawing information is available and correct to allow work to be performed efficiently with client sign‑off procedures.
- Manage setup elements of systems to prove the concept.
- Handle financial management aspects, including invoicing and variations.
- Interface all audio‑visual systems in client buildings, covering hardware and software connections.
- Represent the company at a senior level with professional conduct and presentation.
- Develop expertise in one or more project areas to become a referable resource within the organisation.
- Produce project documentation throughout the life cycle – programme of work, reporting – and keep client platforms updated with real‑time timesheets and notes.
- Attend pre‑tender interviews as required, remaining impartial at all times.
Technical Knowledge
- Video, audio and USB distribution, routing and networking (including Crestron NVX, Extron NAV, Q‑Sys NV and similar).
- Bandwidth considerations, especially with larger networks and uplink switches.
- Audio over network fundamentals: clocking, distribution, bandwidth and Layer 2 distribution.
- IP network knowledge for AV‑IP, Dante, IPTV, IP addressing and VLAN routing.
- Audio DSPs and related licences, channel counts and limitations; some DSP design knowledge preferred.
- Conferencing and audio reproduction – signal levels, reinforcement, echo cancellation, equalisation, delays.
- System design – schematics and workflow, spotting errors or issues in AV signal flow.
- System build – mechanical build of space, containment, power and data requirements.
