We're recruiting on behalf of our client for an experienced AV Engineering Manager to lead the delivery of enterprise AV services within a prestigious London-based organisation.
Leading a team of AV Engineers, you'll be responsible for maintaining high service standards, managing technical escalations, supporting AV operations across multiple UK sites and driving continuous improvement.
Working closely with the Client AV Manager, you'll ensure a reliable, high-performing AV environment while helping shape future technologies, processes and best practice.

Key Responsibilities
- Support the Client AV Manager, who holds overall responsibility for UK Audio Visual operational services.
- Act as a key point of contact, ensuring effective communication between operational teams and senior management.
- Implement governance, processes and operational standards across the AV team.
- Maintain consistency across service delivery.
- Drive accountability and continuous improvement.
- Uphold high standards across all aspects of the AV service.
- Resolve complex, high-priority AV incidents, acting as the technical escalation point for the team.
- Manage and coordinate AV support across multiple UK sites.
- Provide technical leadership and guidance to engineers, assisting with complex troubleshooting and fault resolution.
- Plan, execute and verify software, firmware and system updates across AV devices and platforms.
- Carry out root cause analysis for recurring and complex AV issues.
- Coach, mentor and develop team members, encouraging continuous professional development.
- Set clear expectations, monitor performance and conduct regular performance reviews.
- Motivate and engage the team to maintain high morale and productivity.
- Delegate and prioritise workload to ensure efficient incident resolution and service delivery.
- Manage operational requests using structured project management methodologies, including planning, implementation, delivery and reporting.
- Identify opportunities to improve the client's AV service through new technologies, operational efficiencies and service enhancements.
Experience & Qualifications
- Minimum of 5-7 years' experience in AV operations.
- At least 2-3 years' experience leading or supervising AV engineering teams within a corporate or enterprise environment.
- Advanced troubleshooting and problem-solving skills across enterprise AV systems.
- Experience managing AV support across multiple UK sites.
- Industry certifications such as CTS, CTS-D, CTS-I, Crestron, Extron, Q-SYS or equivalent are highly desirable.
- Technical Skills
- Core AV Technologies
- Strong knowledge of AV control platforms including Crestron, Extron, AMX and Q-SYS.
- Expert understanding of Microsoft Teams Rooms, Zoom Rooms, Cisco Webex and Google Meet hardware.
- Advanced knowledge of DSPs including Biamp, Q-SYS and Shure.
- Experience supporting microphones, mixers, amplifiers and professional audio systems.
- Knowledge of LED walls, projectors, LCD displays and interactive displays.
- Experience supporting digital signage platforms.
- Understanding of live streaming, recording and content distribution technologies.
- Networking & Infrastructure
- Strong understanding of AV over IP technologies including Dante, NDI, SDVo E and HDBase T.
- Good understanding of TCP/IP, VLANs, DHCP, DNS and Qo S as they relate to AV systems.
- Software & Management Platforms
- Experience using AV monitoring platforms such as Logitech Sync, Crestron Xi O Cloud and Extron Global Viewer Enterprise.
- Experience using ITSM platforms such as Service Now.
