Our client is seeking an experienced Audio Visual Engineering Manager to join their London team, working onsite within a leading Global Investment Bank environment. The successful candidate will take full responsibility for the support and management of end users and installed meeting room technologies across the bank’s EMEA office estate, ensuring a high standard of service delivery within a fast-paced corporate setting. This is an excellent opportunity for a driven and experienced AV professional to join an established operation, with the scope to lead, develop, and continuously enhance the AV support service across multiple locations.
Key Responsibilities
- Proactively troubleshoot and remediate AV faults using established diagnostic techniques, facilitating hardware repairs or replacement either yourself or via the wider team as required.
- Take full responsibility for maximising uptime of the audio-visual unified communication systems in the EMEA estate.
- Respond promptly and within the agreed KPI’s to reports from the BAU team or end users of AV hardware or software failures.
- Report faults, raise tickets and manage ticket queues to facilitate hardware repairs and replacements.
- Ensure tickets are raised for all faults and close out any open engineering tickets within agreed KPI’s.
- Liaise with in-house teams and wider departments to secure critical spares and loan replacements.
- Take ownership and responsibility for the management and tracking of critical spares onsite.
- Build positive relationships, communicate and coordinate on-site with clients, facility owners, general contractors, and associated trades as required to deliver the required services.
- Ratify AV system documentation to ensure they are aligned to latest industry standards and best-practices ongoing.
- Support and drive preventative maintenance activities as required.
- Report break-fix activity and key management updates to HQ and client team as required.
- Provide fault reporting to relevant teams as required.
- A passion for service excellence, with a wealth of knowledge and experience in all current audio-visual technologies.
- The ability to use your initiative and solve problems effectively and proactively.
- Provide remote technical support to other offices as required.
- Positively manage, develop and mentor team members in the engineering team.
- Responsible for ensuring the engineering team are working efficiently and effectively throughout their working day, assigning tasks as required and ensuring work is completed to the required standard.
- Lead by example and be an ambassador.
- Be prepared and able to travel (sometimes internationally) to other Bank offices as required.
- Work with project teams in facilitating AV installations within the Banks EMEA estate.
- Take ownership for administering access controls for temporary or installation staff linked to engineering works.
