Responsibilities
- Develop security standards and policy in line with client requirements and industry best practice.
- Develop security requirements covering the different phases of construction, including threat and vulnerability risk assessments, security management plans, asset risk management and protestor plans for an operational site.
- Write security management plans and scope of works – practical experience of security risk/threat assessment approaches and the ability to convey business benefits to empower business risk owners to make appropriate and proportionate security decisions.
- Conduct security reviews and audits, support accreditation activities with the client and regulating authorities.
- Consult on security operations including protective monitoring, incident management, incident response and incident recovery activities.
- Engage with all stakeholders including emergency services and NPSA; create and chair working group meetings with stakeholders.
Qualifications
- Degree‑level qualification or equivalent combination of education and experience with a strong technical background in physical security and commissioning integrated systems – additional professional security qualifications or certifications would be advantageous.
- Detailed knowledge of security principles such as crime prevention in depth, design in depth and NPSA (Deter | Detect | Delay | Mitigate | Respond) plus experience in creating and delivering incident management exercises with an understanding of the JESIP principles.
- Ability to coordinate planning and implementation of security projects in complex environments – understanding the design considerations with emphasis on operational safety and the security of operating environments.
- Previous experience in the CNI sector, involving the setting and delivering of projects and maintenance for integrated physical security solutions – especially in hostile vehicle mitigation (HVM) and vehicle dynamics assessments.
- Military experience is welcomed, ideally coupled with post‑Service consultancy based work.
