Your impact

As a Senior GIS Analyst, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the digital future of Jacobs and our clients. Your expertise will drive the delivery of geospatial solutions across a diverse portfolio of high-profile projects. You’ll be the technical lead on GIS initiatives, guiding teams and mentoring junior colleagues while building trusted relationships with stakeholders.

Your work will influence decisions in engineering, transportation, planning, and environmental sectors—bringing clarity through data, enabling smarter infrastructure, and supporting sustainable outcomes. By combining technical excellence with strategic insight, you’ll help elevate Jacobs’ reputation as a leader in digital transformation.

This role is based in our Dublin, Cork or Belfast office, where you will join a team of established geospatial specialists. Jacobs offers a hybrid approach to work location, combining working from home with 2–3 days a week in the office, collaborating with your team and engaging with other disciplines and clients.

Here\’s what you\’ll need

  • A well-rounded GIS Consultant with proven experience delivering geospatial projects in fast-paced environments.

  • Advanced user of ArcGIS Pro and extensions, with strong data management and quality assurance capabilities.

  • Skilled in web GIS , including the creation of web maps and applications using ArcGIS Online, Portal, or similar platforms.

  • Proficient in mobile data capture tools (e.g. ArcGIS Field Maps), with working knowledge of CAD software (AutoCAD) and FME .

  • Familiar with web-based GIS technologies and programming languages such as Python, JavaScript, and .NET .

  • Experience applying GIS in engineering, transport, planning, and environmental sectors .

  • Strong communicator and team player, with leadership and mentoring experience.

  • Keeps pace with geospatial industry trends and demonstrates ongoing professional development .
