Your Impact: As a key member of our Bridges & Structures team, you will play a critical role in shaping how we deliver value to our clientsâsupporting our transition to a solutionsâfocused provider through the adoption of new technologies, lean methodologies, and digital delivery processes. With a strong emphasis on sustainability and decarbonisation, you will apply your advanced technical expertise, leadership, and organisational skills to deliver innovative structural solutions across highways, rail, aviation, energy, and power sectors.
In this role, you will:
- Lead and mentor multidisciplinary teams in structural analysis, feasibility studies, tender and detailed designs, and the preparation of contract documents and technical reports.
- Collaborate across disciplines to deliver integrated, highâquality services that meet client needs and exceed expectations.
- Champion innovation and diverse thinking to identify bestâvalue solutions and drive continuous improvement.
- Work closely with our UK and Global Integrated Delivery teams to optimise resources and ensure efficient, successful project outcomes.
About Our Structural Solutions Capability: Our Structural Solutions capability is part of Jacobs' wider Transportation business, known for delivering technically complex schemes both in the UK and internationally. Our large and diverse team has earned a strong reputation through a portfolio of highâprofile projects with clients including High Speed 2, National Highways, Network Rail, Welsh Government, National Contractors & Local Authorities.
What youâll need:
- A degree in Civil or Structural Engineering or a related discipline.
- A professional qualification (or close to achieving).
- Excellent communication, collaboration and timeâmanagement skills.
- Project management skills related to bridge design or other disciplines.
- Strong technical design and practical problemâsolving skills.
- A background in bridge design is preferred, but we are equally interested in candidates from other disciplines and industries.
- We are particularly interested to hear from candidates with experience in asset management, structures renewals and postâtensioned structures, including postâtensioned special inspections (PTSI).
