Responsibilities
- Serve as a subject‑matter expert in multidisciplinary electrical engineering projects.
- Develop, manage and deliver electrical and industrial control requirements to meet contract‑specific KPIs.
- Lead value engineering and buildability workshops, delivering innovative solutions for water treatment plants.
- Design and specify detailed engineering specifications, drawings, and schematics for pumping stations, SKID systems, chemical dosing plants, and distribution networks.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory, safety, and constructability standards; embed commissioning requirements into designs.
- Conduct technical analysis, evaluate existing assets, recommend improvements, and perform complex calculations.
- Collaborate with project engineers, design managers, and on‑site delivery teams throughout the project lifecycle.
- Contribute to design management, scheduling, milestone delivery, risk, change control, and financial forecasting.
- Mentor within the electrical discipline, fostering a culture of knowledge sharing and innovation.
Qualifications
- Working towards or holding chartered status (e.g., IET or equivalent).
- Strong understanding of electrical engineering principles, from concept to commissioning.
- Experience in electrical design: equipment specification, single‑line diagrams, GA drawings, schematics; proficiency with AutoCAD, Revit, ETAP.
- Knowledge of LV/MV distribution systems, MCCs, switchgear, transformers, and protection studies.
- Familiarity with pumps, motor control, VSDs, inverters, and solids/fluids treatment systems.
- Commercial awareness: project budgeting, change management, and cost control.
