As a Senior Civil Engineer at Jacobs you will lead the delivery of critical civil design packages, influence buildable solutions, and work with multidisciplinary teams from concept to construction. Responsibilities

  • Own technical delivery of civil design solutions for water and wastewater infrastructure
  • Lead detailed design in collaborative, contractor-led environments, embedding constructability from day one
  • Influence project outcomes by integrating safety, sequencing, access, and commissioning into your designs
  • Work directly with construction and commercial teams to solve challenges in real time on live projects
  • Elevate standards through design assurance, quality reviews, and technical leadership
  • Mentor developing engineers and build next generation talent

Essential qualifications

  • Degree in Civil Engineering (or related discipline)
  • Experience delivering detailed design for water and wastewater infrastructure, ideally in D&B environments
  • Strong understanding of UK design standards, specifications and regulatory frameworks
  • Confidence to work with autonomy, sound judgement and accountability
  • Ability to collaborate and communicate effectively across design and construction teams
  • Working toward or holding Chartered status (ICE or equivalent)

Desirable qualifications

  • Experience supporting live construction projects
  • Knowledge of NEC3 / NEC4 contracts
  • Track record of mentoring or guiding junior engineers
  • Familiarity with digital engineering tools and BIM environments
