You’ll guide critical programmes for Northumbrian Water, United Utilities and other leading utilities, partnering closely to deliver smarter, sustainable drainage solutions end‑to‑end.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage complex urban drainage modelling projects, using InfoWorks ICM and other tools.
- Drive innovation in model build, verification and performance insights.
- Tackle challenges such as flooding, CSO compliance, integrated catchment modelling and 2D overland flow.
- Develop smart, sustainable solutions through optioneering and advanced analysis.
- Manage the full project lifecycle—from early strategy and feasibility to design, construction and optimisation.
- Influence major programmes by engaging directly with clients as a trusted advisor.
- Mentor and grow the next generation of engineers and modellers.
Qualifications and Experience
- Advanced experience in urban drainage modelling, including InfoWorks ICM and InfoAsset Manager.
- Strong GIS capability (ArcGIS, MapInfo) to support technical excellence and decision‑making.
- Proven track record delivering complex water sector projects and building strong client relationships.
- In‑depth understanding of industry standards, regulations and technical quality requirements.
- Ability to lead across multiple work streams, balancing priorities with confidence.
- Professional membership with ICE or CIWEM (Chartered or in progress).
- A passion for mentoring, collaboration and driving technical excellence.
