About the Opportunity
This is an opportunity for an experienced Land Surveyor who wants more than "business as usual". Based from our central Reading office, you'll join a collaborative Geomatics team that values technical excellence, modern methods, and professional respect. You'll work on a wide variety of projects, using current survey technology and software - from terrestrial laser scanning to advanced point cloud processing. You'll be trusted to manage your work, plan surveys properly, and deliver quality, not just volume. Qualifications
- A degree, equivalent qualification, or significant experience in Land Surveying, Geomatics or Reality Capture
- Proven experience delivering topographical and laser scanning surveys, with additional exposure to measured building, deformation or channel surveys desirable
- Confidence using industry standard equipment (Leica or Trimble GNSS, Total Stations, digital levels, terrestrial laser scanners)
- Experience with processing software such as AutoCAD, LSS, SCC, Leica Cyclone, Trimble RealWorks, ReCap or similar
- A strong understanding of point cloud registration and 3D data workflows
- The ability to manage survey work on site, communicate clearly with project teams, and maintain high QA standards
- A positive, professional approach with an interest in mentoring junior surveyors
- Full UK driving licence and flexibility for site travel (including occasional overnight stays)
- Membership of a professional body, or a clear intention to work towards Chartership would be an advantage
