Responsibilities

  • Support geo‑environmental assessments across all project phases, including Phase 1 desk studies, Phase 2 intrusive site investigations, interpretive reporting, and Phase 3 remediation strategy, design, implementation, and validation.
  • Develop and implement strategies for land quality assessment and remediation, integrating them into complex multi‑disciplinary projects.
  • Prepare detailed reports for stakeholders and regulatory bodies, ensuring compliance with planning, environmental and regulatory requirements.
  • Support and deliver risk assessments for land contamination, including human health, control waters alongside the built and natural environments.
  • Provide technical guidance, support and mentorship to colleagues and peers, fostering a culture of knowledge sharing, personal development alongside the growth of our solutions and capability.
  • Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of industry trends, regulations, and best practices, including emerging contaminants such as PFAS and microplastics.

Qualifications

  • Comfortable collaborating with stakeholders at all levels to build strong relationships that drive successful project outcomes.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Geology, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Chartered or working toward Chartered status.
  • Demonstrable experience in geo‑environmental consultancy.
  • Excellent understanding of environmental legislation and risk assessment methodologies such as LCRM, BS10175 and ASTM.
  • Track record in safely and effectively delivering land contamination intrusive investigations and monitoring/sampling programmes.
  • Robust understanding of land contamination sampling protocols.
  • Sound understanding of the challenges faced with emerging contaminants such as PFAS.
  • Good digital data assessment expertise.
