About the Apprenticeship: Are you looking for the opportunity to study alongside working for a company that is focused on the biggest challenges in the world today? We are excited to be looking for a Project Management apprentice to join our London office. You will work towards achieving a Level 6 qualification at the University of Cumbria.

About The Opportunity: Jacobs’ Energy & Power team is a globally integrated engineering and consultancy group enabling the transition to a cleaner, more resilient, and more efficient energy future. We deliver comprehensive services across renewables, hydrogen, storage, power generation, and grid modernisation, combining deep technical expertise with a whole-systems approach to energy transformation.

The Project Management function within Energy & Power is responsible for planning, directing, and monitoring complex programme and project delivery, ensuring scope, schedule, budget, quality, and risk objectives are met. Project Managers lead multidisciplinary and systems-level energy programs, acting as the primary client interface and overseeing technical performance, programme controls and full lifecycle delivery.

As a Project Management Apprentice, you will support the planning, coordination and delivery of engineering and infrastructure projects within the Energy & Power business. Working alongside experienced Project Managers, engineers, planners and commercial specialists, you will develop core project management capabilities while contributing to real client assignments. This role blends on-the-job learning with structured apprenticeship training, enabling you to build a strong foundation for a long-term career in project delivery.

What you’ll need:

  • At least 120 UCAS tariff points; subject preferences include Business Studies, Business Management, English and Mathematics
  • An interest in developing a career in Project Management and the energy sector
  • Strong communication and teamworking skills
  • A flexible and proactive self-starter who’s passionate about developing new skills
  • The ability to adapt and prioritise whilst juggling work and study priorities
  • Enthusiasm and curiosity to apply your skills to solve real-world problems
  • Empathy and listening skills to help you truly understand our clients’ requirements
