Your impact includes:

  • Providing tunnelling leadership and direction to multi-disciplinary project teams.
  • Ensuring the completion of projects and packages of work to agreed budgets and programme.
  • Fostering and building a collaborative culture with clients, colleagues and outside agencies.
  • Building effective working relationships with colleagues, customer stakeholders and outside agencies.
  • Identifying and utilising technological advances to improve quality, results and efficiency.
  • Expediting schemes from inception to design completion.
  • Quality control and checking deliverables.
  • Writing and producing technical reports.
  • Mentoring colleagues, aiding both personal and career development.

Here’s what you’ll need:

  • Demonstrable expertise in Tunnel design.
  • MICE Chartered Engineer status (or equivalent).
  • Track record in the design for the design and build market.
  • Experience interfacing directly with clients and building collaborative relationships.
  • A sound academic and technical knowledge of civil/tunnel engineering.
  • Knowledge of relevant European codes and standards.
  • Proficient in software such as Plaxis, FLAC, MIDAS and/or SAP.
  • Team player but with an ability to work independently and manage small teams as required.
  • Planning & organisational skills.
  • Motivated to deliver high quality.
  • Commitment to professional and personal development.
