You are a safety-focused professional with a passion for delivering technical excellence in design. You bring experience in road safety, including operational safety reviews, road safety audits, risk assessments, and safety governance. About the Opportunity
This is an exciting opportunity to join our Aviation, Rail and Technology group within the wider Transportation business unit delivering services centred on key transportation markets to clients principally across the United Kingdom but through our networks and growth strategies supporting projects across the world. We are looking to appoint Operational Road Safety professionals at Engineer level to support our projects. Jacobs is a market leader in the transportation sector and some of our largest clients include National Highways, Transport Scotland, the Welsh Government, Hertfordshire County Council and many other local authorities. Internationally, we work on some of the world’s mega projects, for example, the King Salman International Airport.
- Experience in road safety engineering and carrying out road safety audits, operational safety reviews, safety risk assessments, collision analysis and investigation
- DMRB GG119 Certificate of Competence and current compliance with DMRB GG119 as Audit Team Leader or Member
- Good interpersonal and communication skills (both written and verbal)
- Good understanding and working knowledge of using design standards
- Membership of a relevant recognised industry Institute / Institution and ability to demonstrate eligibility to work towards obtaining Incorporated Engineer (IEng) Chartered Engineer (CEng) registration if not already registered
- Full UK driving licence
