In this newly created role, you will develop and implement innovative solutions and deliver projects that improve the existing infrastructure of process plant, responsible for the reengineering, optimisation, efficiency, asset performance, reliability, maintainability of wastewater treatment process plant and infrastructure. The remit of your role will include:
- Design and Engineering: Collaborate with and support multi-discipline teams and stakeholders, contributing to design and engineering solutions and milestones.
- System Optimization: Analyze and enhance the performance of wastewater treatment processes to reduce energy consumption, improve performance efficiency, chemical usage, and operational costs.
- Process Monitoring: Use data analytics and control systems to monitor plant performance and identify inefficiencies.
- Technology Integration: Implement technologies such as automation, sensors, and AI to improve treatment outcomes.
- Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve issues in treatment processes, including biological, chemical, and mechanical systems.
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure systems meet environmental regulations and standards (e.g., EPA, local water authorities).
- Project Management: Lead or support all facets of a project lifecycle aimed at upgrading or retrofitting existing infrastructure for better performance.
Here’s what you’ll need: A proven track record of delivering asset improvements in the Water sector. Achieved / Working towards Incorporated (IENG) or Chartered Status (CEng) with a recognised Professional Institution. Experience in one or more of the following areas:
- Water and/or wastewater networks
- Water and/or wastewater treatment works
- Hydraulics
- Control and Automation
Ability to leverage latest practices and apply them to legacy systems. A problem solver who enjoys working as part of a multi-disciplined team that delivers innovative solutions. Excellent communication skills able to effectively engage with clients, contractors and the wider supply chain.
