In these roles, you won’t just witness this transformation — you’ll facilitate it. You will be an integral part of our UK team shaping the future of the water industry by delivering high value complex innovative and sustainable solutions that protect resources and build resilience. From feasibility and planning to advanced design, construction, and commissioning, you will play a critical role in projects such as pumping stations, treatment plants, and associated CAPEX assets, ensuring compliance with regulatory and safety standards.

Your remit will include:

  • Deliver Electrical Engineering Excellence: Contribute to or lead electrical engineering elements of multidisciplinary projects from concept through completion.
  • Collaboration: Support design managers, project engineering, site installation and commissioning teams throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Design & Specification: Develop and produce detailed electrical designs, drawings, and specifications for water sector projects.
  • Quality & Safety: Embed constructability and commissioning requirements into designs, ensuring technical delivery complies with regulatory and safety standards.
  • Governance and Compliance: Ensure all design solutions meet relevant standards, codes, and client specifications.
  • Technical Analysis: Investigate and analyse existing assets, identifying opportunities for improvements.
  • Innovation & Add Value: Participate in and contribute to value engineering and buildability workshops.
  • Project Management: Depending on experience, contribute to design management, scheduling, risk management, change control, and financial forecasting.
  • Team & Culture: Foster a culture of knowledge sharing, innovation, mentoring and professional growth within the electrical discipline.

Here’s what you’ll need:

  • Professional Membership: Working toward or holding chartered status (e.g., IEEE or equivalent).
  • Experience: Demonstrable progressive experience in the delivery of detailed design and Design & Build solutions for water, wastewater, and bioresources projects.
  • Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding and knowledge of electrical engineering principles, project lifecycle from concept through to commissioning and operations.
  • Design Tools: Proficient with CAD and electrical design packages, AutoCAD, Revit, ETAP, SKM etc.
  • Commercial Awareness: Understanding of project budgets, change and cost control.
