Responsibilities:
- Responsible for supporting the technical delivery and Project Manager to ensure the successful delivery of robustly defined technical solutions.
- Experience in network hydraulic modelling (InfoWorks ICM).
- Work as part of a team involved in a variety of projects including model build and verification, using existing models to understand system performance.
- Optioneering and solutions development of flooding and CSO drivers.
- Interacting directly with various personnel in our client’s organisations, including face to face progress meetings.
- Investigation, analysis and resolution of drainage network issues.
- Scoping of network surveys to supplement model updates.
- Review and manage weekly contractor survey submissions.
- Building and maintaining hydraulic models.
- Delivery of technical reports and hydraulic modelling studies.
- Undertake the development of modelled engineering solutions to mitigate the effects of development, to solve sewer flooding and to address unsatisfactory overflows.
- Assist with the preparation of cost estimates for modelling.
- Supervise site surveys and field investigations.
- Plan, programme, co-ordinate and write reports for specific projects.
- Providing guidance and support to graduate engineers or technicians.
Here’s what you’ll need:
- Proficiency in wastewater modelling software such as InfoAsset Manager, and InfoWorks ICM.
- Working knowledge of GIS tools (MapInfo, ArcGIS).
- Ability to work to client specifications and industry standards.
- Demonstrable track record of technical achievement and client satisfaction within the water industry.
- Capable of building and maintaining strong relationships with internal staff and external clients.
- Ability to be flexible and to be able to multi-task and prioritise when necessary.
