Jacobs seeks an Associate Director, Structural Design Engineering in Manchester to lead high‑impact projects across sectors and mentor a multidisciplinary team.
Responsibilities
- Lead the delivery of structural design projects from concept to completion.
- Set engineering standards and drive innovative, client‑centric solutions.
- Mentor and develop a high‑performance engineering team.
- Integrate design disciplines and oversee digital delivery practices.
- Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget and meet commercial objectives.
- Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of international codes, especially U.S. and global standards.
- Champion sustainability, safety and compliance across all designs.
Qualifications
- Chartered Engineer (IStructE, ICE, or equivalent)
- Proven expertise in structural design from concept to completion
- Strong leadership and mentoring skills
- Ability to engage clients and present innovative solutions
- Experience with structural analysis software (ETABS) and digital delivery
- Knowledge of multi‑disciplinary design processes and sustainable design principles
