Responsibilities
- Lead multidisciplinary teams to deliver high‑quality, sustainable flood risk management solutions.
- Address engineering challenges to find affordable, sustainable solutions while adhering to design quality assurance standards.
- Mitigate environmental impact and incorporate integrated design solutions.
- Respond to climate change impacts on flood risk and reduce cost and carbon footprint.
- Support clients in stakeholder engagement (public, flood risk authorities).
- Mentor and develop team members; contribute to a supportive team culture.
- Develop technical scopes, support programme and budget setting, and secure approvals.
- Understand, communicate and manage project risks.
Qualifications
- BEng/MEng in Civil Engineering.
- Chartered status (ICE, CIWEM or equivalent).
- Experience leading multidisciplinary design and design‑build delivery.
- Knowledge of UK design standards, guidance and working practices.
- Expertise in traditional and environmentally focused flood solutions.
- Strong commercial, contractual and programme management experience.
- Proven mentoring and professional development of colleagues.
