Overview

The Water Catchment Management team seeks a recognised Dams and Reservoir water management industry expert to lead and drive an extensive programme of high‑profile projects across multiple sectors.

Responsibilities

  • Technical leadership and governance on all projects.
  • Support staff at a project level to deliver high‑quality, technically robust dam engineering deliverables.
  • Oversee and deliver technical reviews.
  • Collaborate with the wider Jacobs business and client technical, legal and commercial matters associated with reservoirs.
  • Develop and mentor colleagues and peers, providing technical guidance and support to reservoir engineers working towards appointment to the SE or ARPE panels.
  • Provide subject matter expertise and input to sales and operational teams to support business development opportunities, including bid support.

Qualifications

  • Appointed to the All Reservoirs Panel of Engineers, or have the experience and qualifications to apply for the All Reservoirs Panel in the future.
  • Experience of inspecting embankment dams.
  • Knowledge of embankment dam behaviour, monitoring and surveillance.
  • A well‑respected industry profile with links to industry and academia.
  • Chartered with the Institution of Civil Engineers.
  • Ability to foster and grow a culture of professional and personal development across all levels of the business.
  • A record of publications (journal articles, book chapters, conference papers).
