Your Impact
As part of a global team of over 2,000 professionals, our Town Planning Team delivers an extensive portfolio of Planning and Consents solutions across a diverse range of highâprofile infrastructure projects for critical industries including Rail, Water, Energy, Transport and Airports. Due to the continued growth opportunities, we have created roles for experienced Town Planners to join our team. In these roles you will play a key role in the development and delivery of planning advice and solutions across the companyâs full portfolio.
Your Remit
- Assist the team with the management and delivery of various frameworks and projects specifically related to infrastructure.
- Analyse legislation, national and local planning policies to guide client proposals and facilitate successful consenting.
- Coordinate consent applications (including planning applications/TWAOs and DCOs).
- Manage reports, including planning appraisals and supporting information for planning applications and other submissions.
- Support the development of partnershipâbased stakeholder relationships to ensure the delivery of clientâfocused solutions.
- Involve in the development of the wider team, ensuring effective mentoring of colleagues to support career progression and team success.
Hereâs what youâll need
- A recognised planning qualification, and at least 5 years postâqualification experience.
- Chartership or working towards chartership with the RTPI.
- Strong knowledge of UK planning legislation and its application to infrastructure projects.
- Experience of, or keen to develop a career in, consenting infrastructure schemes, including water, energy, waste, highways, rail, airports, ports, etc.
- Ability to apply relevant policy and legislation to define effective consenting strategies.
- Experience of bidding/tendering for internal and external opportunities and strong commercial awareness.
