Your impact:

  • Bringing together a diverse team of environmental specialists, you will work closely with our clients to lead our Environment and Consents work streams both nationally across the UK and Europe, providing technical expertise to ensure environment and sustainability is embedded into the design and delivery of major high profile utility, transportation and infrastructure projects.
  • Playing a key role in Environmental Impact Assessment and Consenting delivery.
  • Facilitate the production and delivery of key EIA deliverables for Nationally Significant Projects supporting Development Consent Order applications.
  • Lead a multidiscipline team, providing guidance to EIA coordinators and subject matter experts.
  • Identifying, managing and mitigating risks to project delivery.
  • Ensure governance and compliance management of relevant environmental legislation and policy.
  • Manage stakeholder engagement across all aspects of the sustainability, environmental and consenting processes.
  • Maximise opportunities for efficiencies, promoting innovation throughout the EIA lifecycle.
  • Provide mentorship and support to ensure the technical and personal development of colleagues.

Qualifications:

  • A proven track record in the lifecycle management and delivery of EIAs.
  • A sound blend of knowledge across the Water Utility, Water Resource Management, other utilities or Flood Risk industries.
  • A demonstrable track record of developing and delivering sustainable consenting solutions.
  • A thorough knowledge of consenting processes.
  • Preferably, chartered status and Full Membership of a recognised relevant professional body (e.g. ISEP, CIWEM, IES).
  • Extensive experience in environmental assessment and regulatory compliance.
  • Strong leadership, project management experience, with demonstrable commitment to health, safety and security and inclusivity, the integration of project legacy into decision making, and champion of innovative thinking to improve project and legacy outcomes.
