Experienced Hydraulic Modeller with a real passion for Coding. You will join our Hydroinformatics team and play a key role in shaping the next generation of digital solutions across flood risk, water management, and wider climate resilience systems, applying your expertise in hydraulic modelling and coding to develop innovative tools and solutions that tackle industry‑wide challenges, transforming how modelling, analysis, and decision‑making are delivered.

Responsibilities:
  • Incorporate innovative code‑based solutions for data processing and analysis.
  • Develop modelling and flood risk automation and data processing workflows.
  • Apply geospatial data analysis and software automation alongside your domain knowledge.
  • Contribute to technology‑led flood risk analysis projects.
  • Develop and implement technical innovation.
Qualifications:
  • Excellent Python coding skills, including experience of working with geospatial data in code, working with open source geospatial libraries (such as GeoPandas, GDAL, Fiona or Rasterio).
  • Experience of tools such as Flood Modeller, TUFLOW or InfoWorks ICM.
  • A sound understanding of hydrological and hydraulic principles.
  • A collaborative approach towards stakeholder engagement.
