Your impact
Join the Jacobs Graduate Development Programme (GDP) and have a meaningful, positive impact on our environments, communities and societies. The programme is a structured two-year scheme designed to support your development at the start of your Jacobs career journey, combining blended learning, mentoring, progress reviews and networking to develop knowledge and competence across four focus areas: human skills, consulting skills, championing our strategy, and your passions. The GDP lets you customise your learning journey to reflect your interests, career goals and technical skillset, creating a graduate experience unique to you. It is an on‑the‑job experience, where you’ll work with your manager and mentor to collect meaningful learning experiences. The programme serves as a launchpad for your career, offering tools, experiences and support to work on meaningful projects and collaborate with industry leaders to deliver outcomes for complex challenges.
About The Opportunity
Jacobs is a market leader in the transportation sector, working with major clients such as National Highways, Transport for Scotland, Manchester Airport Group, Heathrow Ltd, HS2 Ltd and the Welsh Government. From global mega-projects like King Salman International Airport to local initiatives with councils and transport authorities, we offer opportunities to make a real impact—worldwide and in your own community. We seek a forward-thinking individual with interest in one or more of the following areas: Social Value, Community Engagement, Corporate Social Responsibility, Corporate Governance, Diversity, Equality and Inclusion, and Sustainability. As a new graduate within our Delivery Excellence Team, you will have the opportunity to shape future strategy in these areas and support the sustainable delivery of our projects using innovative and collaborative approaches. The start date for this position is September 2026.
What you’ll need
- Be working towards a Degree level qualification in a Social Value related subject (e.g., Social Policy, CSR, Governance or Sustainability)
- A flexible self-starter who is keen to drive your career forward
- Adaptable to change, with a thirst for learning new things
- You must have the permanent right to work in the UK
