Our Graduate Development Programme is a structured two-year scheme designed to support your development at the start of your Jacobs career journey. Through a combination of blended learning, mentoring, progress reviews and networking, you will establish yourself as knowledgeable and competent across four key focus areas: human skills, consulting skills, champion our strategy and your passions.
The GDP allows you to customise your learning journey to reflect your specific interests, career goals, and technical skillset – creating a graduate experience that is unique to you. The GDP is an on-the-job learning experience; you’ll work with your manager and mentor to collect learning experiences that are most meaningful for you. The programme is more than a steppingstone – it’s a launchpad for your career, offering you the tools, experiences and support you need. As a Graduate Landscape Architect based in our London office, you will be involved with helping create solutions. Jacobs has long-term contracts working on some of the UK and Ireland’s largest sustainable infrastructure and development projects and we want to grow our Water and Environment team to meet the ever-increasing demand within this sector. Our team delivers projects from concept stage through to planning and construction and we are looking for enthusiastic, innovative and flexible staff to join this highly successful team.
You will join a respected and ambitious company with excellent career prospects both locally and internationally. You will work as part of a diverse and highly skilled team of landscape architects, providing support and advice to a wide range of clients and working within a multi-disciplinary team. There will also be opportunities to experience different roles within the Water and Environment team aimed at developing your career.
We also fully support our graduates on the Landscape Institute’s ‘Pathway to Chartership’ with an experienced team of mentors to help your chartership journey and financial support. You will also have the opportunity to be on Jacobs’ Graduate Development Programme, with bi-yearly salary reviews. We also encourage graduates to apply who are starting their second careers as landscape architects.
The start date for this position is September 2026.
