Join Jacobs' two-year Graduate Development Program to accelerate your growth in electrical engineering for rail and transportation. You will work within the Glasgow E&P team, applying learning on real projects and gaining exposure to design and delivery across LV/11kV systems and railway-specific electrical solutions. Responsibilities
- Assist site visits, testing/inspection of electrical installations, and load monitoring surveys
- Support feasibility studies through to detailed design, testing, commissioning strategies, and asset handback
- Prepare technical reports and written documents
- Produce 2D/3D models and drawings within a common data environment
- Design LV power distribution systems
- Design earth-free IT systems and 11kV power distribution systems
- Support railway-specific systems including points heating, signalling power, depots, stations, telecoms power, SCADA, earthing and bonding
- Learn to use Amtech, ETAP, Dialux, MS Office; gain drawing production skills with Microstation and Projectwise
Key requirements
- Be working towards a relevant Degree or Master’s level qualification in Electrical Engineering
