Our team is made up of chartered professionals and former Tier One contractor experts with real-world international delivery experience. Combined with our specialist logistics capability, we’re uniquely positioned to unlock Modern Methods of Construction from the very start. By focusing on early-stage optioneering, planning, and constructability, we help drive robust, buildable, and future-ready designs built on a true “Design to Construct” philosophy.

We’re looking for a dynamic leader to drive the successful delivery of design packages, embedding expert constructability insight from concept and initiation, through Outline Design and Consents, and throughout project development. A great opportunity to work on some of the UK’s major projects that add tremendous value. This position is ideal for an experienced contractor employee seeking to transition into professional services.

Key deliverables (not limited to):

  • Lead and inspire a high-performing team of construction and logistics professionals
  • Shape construction strategy, phasing, methodology, and programme planning
  • Integrate environmental, logistical, and operational constraints into a coherent delivery approach
  • Apply industry best practice to ensure designs are truly construction-ready
  • Leading constructability input across multiple projects
  • Developing and reviewing option assessments and risk mitigation strategies
  • Advising on contractual mechanisms, procurement routes, contract packaging, and dispute resolution

You’ll work collaboratively across Jacobs, contractors, and external agencies to ensure seamless coordination, clear communication, and effective delivery—becoming a key voice in how major projects come to life.

What you’ll need:

  • Experience in delivering capital projects within civil engineering and/or building construction
  • An understanding of Modern Methods of Construction including DfMA, offsite manufacturing, and virtual design tools (e.g., virtual rehearsal, 4D modelling) along with construction planning software
  • Proven track record of on-site delivery across multi-sector construction and engineering projects
  • Ability to independently review design proposals and assess constructability risks
  • Work or lead a multi-disciplinary team to achieve the best options for the project
  • Comprehensive health, safety, and environmental expertise
