About The Opportunity

Given the demand for talent in the energy market, we are looking to develop talent from aligned sectors and want to offer electrical engineers the opportunity to move into the Energy Transition sector – you will be offered support and development if this is not a sector you have experience in, or just hit the ground running on exciting projects if you already know this market well!
Our UK and Continental Europe team is growing and we’re looking for an Electrical Design Engineer who can progress in Overhead Line (OHL) infrastructure, to provide support to projects across Jacobs’ markets. This includes work on transmission system assets, HVDC interconnectors, energy storage systems, inertia systems, wind farms and advanced facilities for mission critical industries in the technology and process sectors.

We empower employees with our hybrid working policy, allowing them to split their work week between Jacobs offices/projects and remote locations enabling them to deliver their best work.
Here\’s what you\’ll need
- Experience within an electrical discipline and delivering multi-disciplinary projects e.g. Rail or Energy & Power
- Knowledge of power systems such as 25kB AC, 1500V DC, 750V DC
- Educated to HND level or above in electrical engineering
