Shape the Future of Water â Opportunities for Civil Engineers. The UK water sector is undergoing its biggest transformation in decades. The review by the Independent Water Commission (IWC) comes at the same time as unprecedented investment, creating a onceâinâaâgeneration opportunity to redefine water and wastewater infrastructure.
We are looking for Civil Engineers at all levelsâfrom earlyâcareer professionals to experienced leadersâto join our offices across the UK. Whether youâre starting out or ready to take on a senior role, youâll help deliver detailed design and Design & Build projects in the water and wastewater sector.
Key Responsibilities
- Support or lead multidisciplinary civil engineering projects from concept to completion.
- Deliver innovative and sustainable design solutions for water and wastewater infrastructure.
- Ensure technical delivery meets regulatory and safety standards.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to drive project success.
- Contribute to mentoring and team development (for senior roles).
- Demonstrate exemplary health, safety, and wellbeing practices in line with our BeyondZero approach.
- Build and strengthen relationships with our water sector clients.
Hereâs what youâll need
- Experience in civil engineering, with knowledge of detailed design and/or design-and-build projects for water and wastewater assets.
- Strong understanding of civil engineering principles and project lifecycle management.
- Familiarity with UK water sector regulations and safety protocols.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills; leadership experience for senior roles.
- Professional membership (ICE or CIWEM) desirable but not essential.
