Overview
We are seeking a Civil Engineering Apprentice to join our London office and work towards a Level 6 qualification at London South Bank University. You will be trained on the latest engineering software and exposed to projects from initial concept through construction, gaining experience in feasibility studies, scheme reports and highway design.
What you’ll do
You will support colleagues in delivering some of Jacobs’ most challenging global pursuits, assisting with the preparation of feasibility studies, scheme reports and highway designs as part of your development to becoming a professionally qualified engineer.
What we’re looking for
- A minimum of 120 UCAS tariff points, including grade B in A-level Mathematics or equivalent
- A keen interest in transportation and engineering
- Strong communication and team‑working skills
- A flexible and proactive self‑starter who is passionate about developing new skills
- The ability to adapt and prioritise while juggling work and study commitments
- Enthusiasm and curiosity to apply your skills to solve real‑world problems
- Empathy and listening skills to help you truly understand our clients’ requirements
- A well‑rounded person – experience outside of traditional roles (e.g., volunteering, sports leadership) is welcomed and valued
- You must have the permanent right to work in the UK
