Overview
Civil Engineer - Highway Design and Planning role at Jacobs. This position supports the delivery of third-party highway projects under Sections 278 and 38 of the Highways Act (1980). Your engineering judgement, stakeholder coordination, and project delivery experience will contribute to Hertfordshire County Council’s infrastructure ambitions.

What You’ll Need
- Extensive professional experience of highway engineering design and construction
- Project management experience
- In-depth knowledge and understanding of relevant design standards, including but not limited to Manual for Streets 1 & 2 and the Design Manual for Roads and Bridges
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to influence people at all levels
- Knowledge of the English planning process
The role is based in Stevenage and requires 2 days office work.
