As a proactive Health and Safety professional comfortable working across a portfolio of projects, delivering H&S and CDM solutions, your remit will include:
- Provide subject matter advice to project teams on Principal Designer compliance, governance and Safety in Design.
- Build a collaborative H&S culture by establishing and fostering positive partnership based working relationships with stakeholders at all levels, being recognised as a trusted advocate.
- Manage and develop existing systems and processes, continuously striving to improve both CDM and H&S processes, policies and procedures.
- Carry out H&S performance reviews and audits of project delivery and activity, identifying, developing and implementing any improvement initiatives to ensure full compliance with CDM regulations and relevant H&S legislation.
- Support incident investigation, ensuring close out (including Intelex) and the lessons learned are communicated.
- Promote best practice in all elements of HSE both internally and externally.
Here’s what you’ll need:
- Chartered membership of IOSH or working towards.
- Membership of the APS or working towards.
- In‑depth knowledge and experience within the Construction Industry, specifically around the CDM Regulations.
- Demonstrable experience delivering H&S solutions to complex high value Infrastructure projects.
- Track record in advising project teams on Safety in Design compliance.
- Recognised ability to form and manage relationships with clients and contractors across multiple disciplines and sectors.
