Our UK Water team is on the lookout for passionate Civil professionals to help us shape the future of water infrastructure. Working across national client frameworks, we deliver everything from strategic planning and catchment management to feasibility studies, outline and detailed design, and construction and operational support. We have immediate vacancies for Civil Engineers with Detailed Design experience to support on high profile projects in the South of England.
You’ll have opportunities across a diverse portfolio of projects and clients, from long-term water resource planning, infrastructure solutions to enhance river quality, to delivering the biggest water and supply projects in a generation. We’re at the forefront of tackling the UK’s most challenging water problems; from providing end-to-end services alongside our construction partners within United Utilities’ AMP8 framework, to our roles innovating across the Strategic Resource Options such as the Fens and Lincs SRO reservoirs.
We’re looking for self-starting, highly motivated Civil Engineers (all grades but particularly Senior, Principal, Associate Director and Senior Associate Director) who want to thrive in a collaborative, dynamic environment. Whether you’re early in your career or an experienced engineer, we offer opportunities to lead, learn, and stay agile and involved in the projects that interest you.
Within our diverse, high-performing team you’ll play a role in providing design leadership and discipline integration of projects delivered across the Water UK business unit. Using technical experience and excellent people skills, you’ll be working with the team to manage projects and mentor junior engineers to produce high-quality deliverables in client facing positions.
Here’s what you’ll need:
- The ability to deliver civil engineering inputs to multidisciplinary projects, either at specific design stages or across full project lifecycles.
- Experience in the water or wastewater engineering sector is preferred, but not essential, as upskilling will be provided for the right candidate.
- Working towards, or at Chartered / Incorporated Engineer status with a professional body such as the ICE or CIWEM.
- Curiosity about emerging technologies and a strong interest in sustainability.
