You will step into a newly created role across Health & Safety and CDM, with a remit that includes:

  • Be seen as the subject matter expert for Principal Designer duties, CDM compliance, governance and Safety in Design.
  • Build and foster a positive, partnership‑led H&S culture, recognised by all stakeholders as a trusted advisor.
  • Manage and continually improve H&S and CDM systems, processes, policies, procedures.
  • Undertake H&S performance reviews and audits, driving improvement and lessons learned actions.
  • Ensure ongoing compliance with CDM Regulations and relevant legislation.
  • Support incident investigations, expediting effective close‑out (including Intelex) and sharing lessons learned.
  • Promote HSE best practice internally, externally and across the supply chain.

Here's what you'll need

  • Chartered membership of IOSH.
  • Membership of the APS.
  • In-depth knowledge and experience within the Construction Industry, specifically around the CDM Regulations.
  • Demonstrable experience delivering H&S solutions to complex high value Infrastructure projects.
  • Track record in advising project teams on Safety in Design compliance.
  • Recognized ability to form and manage relationships with clients and contractors across multiple disciplines and sectors.
