Your impact
In this newly created role, you will work as part of a growing team of industry and subject matter experts delivering some of the largest and most impactful national and global infrastructure projects across sectors such as road, rail and nuclear as well as across the wider built environment. You will lead the delivery of fire engineering design, liaising with and coordinating multi-disciplinary engineering teams. You will also be responsible for the delivery of fire strategies supported by fire engineering analysis using prescriptive and analytical methods.
Your remit will include:
- Leading project teams.
- The delivery of Fire Strategies and technical reports using fire engineering principles.
- Ensuring the implementation of national and international standards, BS 9999, BS 9991, BS 9992, ADB, NFPA and IBC codes.
- Carrying out engineering calculations or performing fire engineering analysis.
- Assisting in the bidding process of future work and developing networking channels.
- Participating in site inspections of tunnels and related infrastructure facilities as and when required.
- Supporting and mentoring colleagues, developing the team and its capabilities.
- Researching, writing and presenting conference papers.
Qualifications
- Bachelor or master’s degree in engineering or science.
- A demonstrable background in fire life safety engineering.
- A track record in the successful development of Fire Strategies and executing fire engineering design works.
- Good knowledge of national and international fire regulations and standards such as ADB, British Standards, NFPA, UAE FLS Code, Fire Code (SBC 801), IBC/IFC Codes.
- An established Project Delivery career.
