Are you ready to launch your career? Our Summer Internship Programme offers you the chance to gain real-world experience in your chosen discipline. For approximately eight weeks in the summer, you will work in one of our hub office locations across the UK or Ireland. Here, you will collaborate with world-class professionals in a dynamic environment, applying the skills you have honed in the classroom to real business challenges. In this fast-paced, professional setting, you will gain invaluable experience that will set you apart in your future career.
Throughout the programme, you will receive personalised guidance from mentors, people leaders and Programme Champions. They are all here to help you make the most of your experience. You will also have plenty of opportunities to connect with colleagues and fellow interns from different disciplines, broadening your professional network and gaining insights from across the business. Our goal is to ensure that your time with Jacobs leaves you with a positive, impactful learning experience.
The Opportunity: Our Transportation business in Europe currently comprises 1500 staff spread across 23 offices, delivering more connected, sustainable solutions for our UK, European and international clients across Aviation, Highways, Rail and adjacency markets. Our Structural Solutions Capability is part of our wider Transportation business, we take pride in delivering technically complex schemes across the UK and internationally. Our large and diverse team has earned an enviable reputation within the consultancy sector through a portfolio of high-profile projects with clients that include High Speed 2, National Highways, Network Rail, Welsh Government, National Contractors and Local Authorities.
You will work to support the team, transforming how we deliver through the implementation of new technologies and lean, digital processes, to increase efficiency and add value for our clients. You will be joining a team who are responsible for project delivery on a range of bridge and structural related projects, delivering on tasks such as structural analysis, feasibility studies, tender designs, detailed designs and the production of contract documents and technical reports.
- On track to complete a MEng Civil Engineering or MEng Civil & Structural Engineering or MEng Civil & Environmental Engineering.
- A flexible and innovative self-starter who is passionate about developing new skills.

- Empathy and listening skills to help you truly understand our clients' requirements.
