As a BIM Lead with Jacobs Advanced Facilities – Electronics group, you will help our team design state‑of‑the‑art microelectronics facilities, and other advanced industrial and commercial facilities powering our virtual world today and into the future. As an integral member of the Electronics architecture team, you will be responsible for preparation of models and architectural construction documents using Revit and related BIM software. You will oversee and implement practices to affect the functionality of complex BIM models and assist the Architecture team with best practice BIM solutions, actively promoting overall quality of the design and project deliverables.

You’ll also work closely with architects and engineering disciplines, performing conceptual, layout, and detailed design tasks, coordinating design and construction activities, studies, and various analyses. You’ll also have the chance to utilize your technical expertise coaching junior team members.

Duties And Responsibilities Include:

  • Modelling, preparing drawings and sketches using Revit and applicable software, applying suitable design criteria.
  • Architecture project set up in Revit.
  • Onboarding of new team members to project technology workflows, standards, and quality expectations.
  • Maintaining reliable work practices for a team to meet schedule, budget, and quality requirements.
  • Highly proficient in coordinating with a project team, including engineering disciplines to resolve design and BIM content.
  • Engage with emerging technologies and how they can benefit workflows and architectural design; proactively advance workflows, systems, and tools, including design automation skills.
  • Familiarity with emerging technologies and BIM workflows.
  • Manage and incorporate redlines from others.
  • Being highly focused on quality, ensuring content audits and conformance with established architecture standards, project standards, and project delivery processes.
  • Able to provide quality reviews of models and documents prepared by others to assure design and project standards are met.

Here’s what you’ll need:

  • 4–6 years architectural experience required.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience and proficiency in Revit modelling.
  • Experience with SketchUp, Adobe Suite, InDesign, BlueBeam, and Navisworks.
  • Experience facilitating coordination between team members.
  • Experience meeting and maintaining quality standards in BIM tools, and leading others to do the same.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and collaboration skills.

Ideally, you’ll also have:

  • Bachelor’s in architecture.
  • Experience with Enscape, Forma, Rhino, AI image generators, and MS Suite.
  • Experience with building codes and specifications.
  • Experience with semiconductor or general industrial facilities.
  • LEED accreditation.
