To support our expanding portfolio and future growth ambitions in Ireland, we are looking for Senior Water Networks Engineers/Modellers to join and strengthen our established Water team, based across our Dublin, Cork and Belfast offices. Our Water Networks teams operate nationwide, delivering expertise across the full spectrum of water and non-infrastructure projects—from feasibility assessments and optioneering to operational support, optimisation, systems integration, and the development of smart network solutions.

You will have the opportunity to lead a diverse range of projects, including water trading, capital design, water quality modelling, network design, zonal studies, leakage optimisation, and model maintenance. You will apply industry-leading solutions and be encouraged to introduce innovative approaches. In addition, you will support and mentor local teams while contributing to the continued growth of our Irish water business. This is your chance to influence the future of water.

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the technical delivery of projects within programme and budget.
  • Provide technical leadership and guidance in project delivery.
  • Provide coaching, mentoring, technical support and quality assurance to the local team.
  • Ensure high-quality project delivery from yourself and your team, meeting budget, timeline, and client expectations.
  • Develop and implement methodologies, guidance documents, and templates for engineering and modelling projects.
  • Promote innovation and continuous improvement to enhance efficiency and add value.
  • Work collaboratively with multiple-disciplinary teams internally and externally.
  • Contribute to tendering process including proposal writing and cost estimate.

Essential Skills And Knowledge:

  • Deep understanding of water network operations, hydraulic modelling, optioneering, and engineering design.
  • Experience in network modelling using at least one software package Synergi Water/Liquid, InfoWorks WS Pro, or EPANET.
  • Proven experience of working independently and within a team on project delivery.
  • Ability to present technical findings clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Excellent communication skills to articulate technical information confidently and clearly.
  • Excellent writing skills including engineering reports, guidance documents and proposals.
  • Strong problem-solving mindset with the ability to address complex challenges.
  • Proficient in numerical analysis and data interpretation.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet challenging deadlines.
  • Proven ability to deliver projects within time and budget.
  • Chartered engineer or working towards chartership.

Desirable Skills And Knowledge:

  • Experience in GIS packages.
  • Experience in visualisation such as Power BI, Tableau, Esri etc.
  • Experience in coding and tool development.
  • Project management and financial experience.
  • Experience working in a global delivery or consultancy environment.
